I believe that this excerpt is trying to show us that everything we learn, every activity we do all has a learning purpose. we might not see it at the time, but everything will include a learning lesson. Also, this piece shows how learning is just like any team sport. When one player is not playing his or her best, the entire team suffers from it. But when a team has a prepared, strong player doing his or her best the entire team will succeed. it is the same with learning because if a classmate does not come prepared or ready to learn no one else will be ready either.
