This piece explains that while learning it is acceptable to make mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes and there is no problem in doing so, as long as you learn from your mistakes and not make the same mistake twice. It also says that you should take risks when it comes to learning and that it might not always be clear what you are learning at the time or why but it will all make sense in the end. This relates to the class expectations because taking risks in class and not being afraid to make mistakes will enhance the class discussion and help other not make the same mistake.

  1. I agree with your thought on how the Phantom Tollbooth explains that in order to become a better learner, you have to accept being able to make mistakes and improve off of your mistakes (in order to not repeat them).

  2. I agree with the thought that we need to take risks in class and that we shouldn't be afraid to make mistakes as it will make the class discussions more valuable to others as they can learn from your (possible) mistake
