Great notes Trey. I like all the pictures you have because they really drew my attention. Also I like how spaced out your notes are. It makes them so much easier to read. That's one of the things I struggle with the most is spacing out my notes because most of the time when I go back into my notebook to read old notes, I am unable to read them because they are so bunched up.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED your timeline, I think we started that in class, and I completely forgot to write it down, but it is helpful when reading to keep in mind what time period this is happening in. One thing I had in my notes was the sketch that Asha helped us create, with the 5 boroughs of NY and where the East & West Egg are in relation to the rest of NY, and where Tom and Daisy and Nick live. However, like Jacob said, I liked how spaced out your notes are, because they are really clear and easy to read. I definitely took a different approach and instead of starting more pages and everything, I just added arrows to my previous notes and added little bullet points, saying how I thought they connected. But good job Trey, I really like how clear your notes are!
ReplyDeleteI like how your notes are setup. You put a page number and quote and then put some bullet points under the quotes to show your ideas. I also like your character analysis in the purple pen. That will make it easy to go back into your notes and look up specific quotes that prove something about a characters personality or traits. Your timeline also looks like a useful tool to keep adding to as the book progresses.
ReplyDeleteThe arrows and images you use make your notes very unique and display what ideas and concepts you are connecting together. The notes and page number next to the quotes in the book are great because they allow you to go back and look at the text and discuss ideas about the quote. Also if you put the page number next to the quotes you can find other evidence in text on the same page that could support your ideas.
ReplyDeleteI liked how much information you were able to write down as we were talking about all the different topics in class. I know from my notes I struggled with writing things down and not getting far behind in the actual discussion. I also liked how you wrote down different questions that people were asking and different ideas that were brought up.
